It was a big couple of days here at Whitewater Connection. We had about 120 people in camp, and a slu of boats trecking down both the Middle Fork and the South Fork of the American River. It was hectic, but a pleasure to take such eager people down the river! Thanks for a great start to our week!

It's August?
August is here complete with none other than 80 degree temperatures? It's a bizarre 20 degrees less than what we are all used to here on the American River, leaving us all equally perplexed yet grateful for the break in heat. Nonetheless, it is still a wonderful day for rafting so call in today to make your reservation! We're booking up fast as people make their last minute vacation plans, so don't wait to book your adventure today!

Time is dwindling!
It's a busy weekend here at Whitewater Connection. We've got tons of boats traveling down the mighty South Fork of the American, and a few more conquering the Middle Fork. It's a crazy weekend, but with great flows and cloudless weather, it'll be a great one! Don't miss out on the awesome conditions...Let's go rafting!

Summer Heat
The weather is hot and the river is still cold. That could only mean one thing, August is here. Since when did summer start going so quickly? In any case, my intention is to raft as much as I possibly can down the American River before that good old fashioned summer heat runs out. Let's go rafting!

Crusin down the South Fork
Guide Jordie conquered the South Fork of the American River yesterday on a South Fork Full River trip! It was quite a long day, filled with lots of excitement and even more paddling, but nonetheless, his crew and him made it all the way down the river unscathed and ready for more. With summer dwindling down, be sure to call in today to book your very own South Fork trip!

Flying High
Summer is getting hotter and that means that flows are making the South Fork of the American River just that much more exciting. Word has it that there is a small "surprise" for all of those guides who don't know about the South Fork secrets. How high can your guide fly?

Good Times and Great Memories!
What a great weekend we had! The customers were quite lively and adventurous, which us guides love to see. We couldn't have asked for better people to take down both the South Fork of the American River, as well as the Middle Fork of the American River. Their enthusiasm around the camp fire made us all wonder how they could raft all day, then proceed to dance and sing around the camp fire all night. So much energy! What good memories and we really hope to see them all again soon!

South Fork Awesomeness!
What a great day on the South Fork of the American River today! The flows were looking spectacular and our boats were looking in sync. Our crews seemed to have such rythem on their forward paddles through even the most exciting rapids. It was a great day indeed, with more to come from these excellent rafters! More to update tomorrow with the second day Chili Bar Run!

Lazy Wednesdays
No Water Wednesdays means a nice relaxing day for the American River South Fork guides. That means that there's no road trip this week. Nope, we're laying low and taking it easy. Maybe we'll work on our kickin tan lines...humm now there's a thought.

Heading South for our day off.
The Whitewater Connection Staff had another day off, and what did we do? We traveled South to the Kaweah River for another adventure. It wasn't quite as exciting as the first road trip however since the flows were pretty low, but it did make for a good skill tester since low flows typically makes for a more technical run. For now though, we are back in Coloma running usual South and Middle Forks of the American River. There's no place like home, and there's nothing like that good old fashioned summer heat!

Road Trippin
The staff just arrived back in camp from an exciting day trip to the Trinity River, and oh what an adventure it was. The five hour car ride left us antsy and ready to conquor the Class IV and V rapids, and before we knew it, we were on our way down the Burnt Ranch Gorge section of the river. It was a day of new oppertunities and excitement for all of those who attended, I even got the opportunity to swim a Class V rapid! I'll check that one off of the life's list!

Summer heat meets the American River
Summer is heating up, but thankfully we've got the American River to keep us cool. We were all thankful for the lower run of the South Fork today as we were guided down by guides Chris and Nicole. No one hesitated to slide in the water in between rapids for a relaxing swim. I'd say that it was a perfect day to be on the river! What could be better than sunshine and nice cold refreshing water?

What do river guides do on off days
Staff took off for a road trip. Burnt Ranch Gorge was awesome. I believe the whole staff had a great time. All came back with a renewed zest for having fun on rivers and are really looking to all who come up to raft the South Fork and Middle Fork of the American. Call of book on line today

We had a great run down the Middle Fork of the American River today! The rapid Ruck-a-Chucky gave us quite a run for our money as we created even more excitement to the already exciting 22 foot drop. The Whitewater Connection Staff were entertaining as usual, and the sun even decided to pop out from behind the incessant cloud cover to brighten our day up! The sunshine was much appreciated as always.

Whitewater Connections Excitement!
Yesterday was my first time rafting down the Middle Fork of the American River, and despite the cloudy weather, I had so much fun! Our guide, "Ram" Joe made us laugh the whole way down the river, and successfully guided us through some spicy class four rapids. Our whole Whitwater Connections experience has been a good one, from the moment we called, to driving back to the meeting spot. Thanks again Whitewater Connections!

South Fork American River Run with Whitewater Connections
Today was awesome! My mom and I went rafting down the lower section of the South Fork American River with the Whitewater connections guide Alanna, and had one heck of a time. It was exciting and fun, and there was never a dull moment. Not to mention that lunch was great! I highly recommend rafting with Whitewater Connections!
